Engaging in the Flow of Evolution

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:22 am by laracroft8

Everything comes to me with ease. Why? Because I am living through the desires of my heart and the pulse and rhythm of my soul. I am floating on the wave that is created from within me- and I am following the way of least resistance- whilst listening to what the universe has in store for me. When I align with these energies, I encounter the experiences that are needed for the true fulfillment of my being. I meet the people I am supposed to learn from and I discover the ideas and concepts that place the continuous fundaments for my further development as a person.

We all want to succeed. But success cannot be defined as the most money or the best belongings or positions, but rather ” the continual expansion of happiness and the progressive realization of worthy goals”. It implies leaving your ego behind and focus on the bigger picture- you are here for a reason, you are here to learn and bring this knowledge with you to be able to face challenges with the greatest insight. The flourishing of any human being is dependent on our ability to align ourselves with the path that our heart lays out before us. If we resist, we will encounter difficulties and stagnation which can have two outcomes- either  we get caught in an everlasting cycle of pushing and pulling where the wheel of frustration spins faster and faster, or we can chose to accept these as experiences as pieces in the puzzle that we can collect, learn from and remember in similar situations in the future.

At this time, we all know about the law of attraction, the “secret” to life and the concept of “what we sow is what we reap”. Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in a similar way. Do you want to be happy? Du you want to succeed? The secret it out. And it is simple. Create happiness within yourself. This is what the senses are made for. Focus on the things that make you happy. The secret lies in moderation and being able to perceive all these things like you are noticing them for the first time. Then go on by spreading these energies and feelings in your surroundings. You will notice a difference. Good luck ;)

On the Importance of an Open Mind

On the Importance of an Open Mind

There is a vital difference between a closed and an open mind. The rise in intra-state conflicts, armed violence and criminality are the extreme consequences of what I believe come down to “the disaster of the closed mind”- a micro-perspective on the causes of conflict. The following article is an appeal to explore and go beyond the horizons of our intellectual landscapes. In order to truly be able to judge in given situations, we need facts from all sides and perspectives, and what is hindering us from achieving this is the obstacle of the closed mind.

We all like to think we are open-minded. And since the common definition of the mind is “the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences”, open mindedness would simply imply being fully aware of our surroundings- on all levels, not only the physical. We have a brain that can analyze various possible explanations for any given situation. Having an open mind can help you consider all those possibilities.

There has been a common thought amongst philosophers like Aristotle, Leibiz, Spinoza and Kant that we are here for a reason, intended or non-intended, within surroundings that are under the constant change of evolution. Many of us believe that we are on this planet of choice and free will to make a difference, but how can we possibly figure out a way to fulfillment of our true potential if we are closing our minds? If we think that the state we are in today is the highest possible state, we are very naïve. We can see progress, but in our lifetime this has appeared mostly in technology. What we want is revolutionary advancement in all areas of the human condition- arts, music, philosophy, politics etc., to bring about a sense of inter-scholarly harmony where all fields interrelate and connect, tied together by a common unity- the human being.

The mind to David Hume was “a bundle of perceptions tied together by a common unity”, which also enclosed our identity. The mind to me is an instrument that provides us with a space for original thought and an opportunity to create. Now ask yourself- when was the last time you had a truly original thought? When was the last time you projected something new and refreshing into this world- either creative, academic or simply physical? Students especially are in the unique position of this power of creation, both due to our environment and current situation- the process of learning. Mary Kaldor, at the London School of Economics recently stated that “we are in need of a consciously informed public, available of critical thinking”. This all sounds good, but it is also important to highlight what I believe to be the only obstacle in the way of this process- the closed mind. How can we work with this? What are the symptoms? Do we even want to have an open mind?

A professor of mine once said- “the human capacity to believe in nonsense is infinite”. Are we free thinkers? No. Not as long as we place limitation on our intakes of “streams of consciousness”. We have to allow our minds to take a needed break from mediocre preoccupations so they can discover new and inspiring insights. The mind has a capacity to be creative and influenced. It can receive inspiration outside the boundaries of its own control. We have to find the balance, similar to the Chinese middle way. Moderation. You have probably heard about yin and yang, the two concepts commonly portrayed as opposites, e.g day/night or good/evil, one cannot exist without the other. It takes an equal amount of both for a state of balance. Applying this to contemporary times, and considering all the inequality and injustice in the world, it is evident that this balance is under disturbance. Examples like violent conflicts, natural catastrophes, manipulative powers of the media and fatal consequences of institutions like politics, bureaucracy and capitalism are all outcomes of this- and WE have brought this upon ourselves. Many things have contributed to this phenomenon throughout time- closed-mindedness being the fundamental driving force. Ideas like those of for instance Hobbes and Machiavelli, who both witnessed the brutalities of civil war, saw no other solution than man being naturally evil, suspicious and greedy. These statements and conclusions are a result of the contexts under which the thinkers operated. It is a now a common assumption that if you live in a world of war, depression and insecurity where every day is a fight for survival, it is clear that your view of the world will consist of these negative concepts. I am not saying that we do not observe these influences today- we have conflict; we do fear for our security. But the privilege of living in a developed country comes with luxuries: for example, the luxury of options. A small, but very powerful word- options. We live under relatively secure conditions, and are awarded with the unique privilege of having all the tools needed for thinking outside the box. How do we want to live? What is fair? Are there better solutions than those that are commonly presented today? Simply by opening your mind, you can contribute to better solutions. And the only way we can find these are through cooperation and creativity- slowly but steadily transformed into change. But it takes more than one person. This is the reason for the emergence of initiatives like Generation C, this is why I am urging you to open your mind. Be constructively critical. Question your daily intake of new information and process this, so you can contribute.

It is not an easy process. See your excellence of being as a part of a bigger machine that runs smoothly if all parts work together. By this, we are not suggesting that we should all think and act the same way, actually it is the total opposite; differences breed advancements in all areas of life. And the more ideas we put on the table the further we take mankind. Just because you don’t believe in it, doesn’t mean that you have to delete it from your database? The mind is like the internet, you should be able to locate any information you need at any time. Absorb everything. But be cautious of the importance you give to the different thoughts. Terry Pratchett stated; “The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it”. Be aware of how easily you are influenced by factors like insecurity, your environment and the media and still dare to adventure and be different- differences breed innovation. The way to an enlightened future should be to collect as many experiences as possible, and then to use these as a foundation for opinions, values and judgments. The wider our experience and tolerance, the better judges we become.

Consider it taking a breath of fresh air. Bursting through the surface of the water in which you have been swimming around in circles for way too long. You are not a fish. And that has made all the difference.

Stargazing

A golden star? Its actually a nebular wrapped around a dying star. That’s what makes it look gold. The Mayans called it Xibalba- it was their underworld. The place their dead souls go to be reborn. Someday soon it will explode, dying, giving birth to new stars. Isn’t it amazing that the Mayans chose a dying star to represent their underworld? Of all the healthy points of light in the sky- how did they find one that was dying? – The Fountain

What if…

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:36 pm by laracroft8

A friend of mine just sent me the following message:

Cosmic Oneness

If we were to look a little deeper into the mystical side of life, some of the following questions may surface..

What if all of the worlds religions started out with the same message but mankind distorted the message to fit their individual cultures and customs? And what if Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, Kabir, Lao Tzu, Mister Eckhart, The Sufis, Nanak, Zoraster, Mir Bai, Omar Kayam, Rumi, in fact all Mystics, taught the same truth? And what if the “Word” of the bible was the same as the “Tao” of the Orient, the “Logos” of the Greeks, the “Kalma” of Islam, the “Shabbd” and “Nam” of India, the “Net of Wyrrd” of the Celts, the “EnSof” of the Jews, the “Sound Current” of Shabbd Yoga, the etc, etc, etc? And what if this “Word” is not a written word or book, but a beautiful river of sound and light that created all the wonders of creation? And  what if you can hear it in meditation? And, what if it energizes and lifts the soul out of the physical creation?

And what if the Mystics cloaked their teachings so that only the initiated (aka baptized) would understand them? What if the regular references to intoxication and wine, in many
religious traditions is really about spiritual rapture and drinking the wine of god, in the form of his/her life giving essence, the Word or Sound Current? And what if this river of sound and light lifts the soul to many higher levels of conciousness? And what if all mystics talk of Inner planes, Seven Heavens, Many mansions, the egg of Brammm, Elysian Fields, etc? And what if due to ignorance of mystical principles, man interperets
Gods Word to be a written word or book? And what if man then fights over who has the right book? And what if the garden of Eden was in one of these planes (ie. The Astral Plane), and we put on skins (aka human bodies) when we moved into the physical plane?
And what if on our spiritual journey to the “single eye” or “eye center”, we must channel our consciousness through the seven chakras, unsealing the mysteries in each chakra. Are these the seven seals of the bible? And what if “Revelations” is a personal experience? And what if “The Apocalypse” is really about uncovering our true self? Overcoming our
own negativity and ego. NOT the end of the world! And what if the “Infidel” is you, until you have slain your ego that seperates you from God?

And what if Moses going up the mountain was about going out of body to see the buring bush (aka the Jyoti or thousand pettaled lotus, or city of light in the Astral)? And how about Jesus going up the mountain and showing his disciples his transfigured form (aka Radiant Form in eastern mysticism). And how about Mohammed on his mystical ride to the seventh heaven? Were they all out of body? And what if God is compassionate enough to bless us with living mystics, to teach those that are ready, to learn the mystic path? And what if those that are NOT ready to find a Living Mystic, must rely on the teachings of long ago dead ones for inspiration?
And what if, just like the scribes and the pharasees of the bible arguing over scripture, you miss the present living mystic of your time because you are so hung up on the mystics of the past? And what if it is the job of a living mystic to find his/her marked souls and infuse these weary souls with the energy to make the return trip out of this creation? And what if that is the reason there are so many past mystics, gurus, saviors, masters throughout history? And therefore so many religions derived from them?

And what if you pick one of these religions built on the shadow of real spirituality as your own? Will you be “saved” by a long gone mystic when God’s plan is for “Living Mystics” to do that job? And what if God’s plan is to NOT let us all leave at the same time? And what if everything is exactly as it should be? And what if evil is necessary because it provides the traction for the soul to climb out of the creation?

What if everything we see in this physical world is solidified music? Is the matter that we see around us, frozen energy? And what if that is why humans love music so much? Is that why we are called a “person”. aka Latin “Per Sonus”, or “Through sound”? And what if this celestial music is in every millimeter of space? And what if this music is an organizing creative intelligence that seeks to create life anywhere it can? And life does not happen by accident? Life is on purpose?

And what if Whilhelm Reichs experiments with “Orgone” (aka Chi, aka Prana) proved this in a laboratory decades ago? And what if astro-physicists are now discovering this “Back ground” harmonic existed just prior to the creation of the physical universe? And what if we can hear it and feel it in meditation? Does this connect us to everthing? Does it unify the field? As well as us? And what if the intensity of the sound increases with concentration? And it pulls our conciousness into higher vibratory levels? And what if a soul rises or falls to the level of it’s concentration? Is that why we are in the human form here in the physical? Is this the level where we can be fully conscious? Where we can have full play? And what if we increase our focus and concentration? Will we be able to  maintain full conciousness at a higher level? And what if we decrease our focus and concentration? Will we have to assume a lower life form in order to have full play?

What do you think?

Are there limits to our connections?

Posted in Uncategorized at 5:22 pm by laracroft8

It begins with the simple questions of love and attraction. We have all experienced it. We have all asked the questions of; How does this person feel about me? Do we have a connection? Is it possible that every time I think about him, he thinks about me too? Is our love of the same intensity? And every time I get a rush of joy through me, does he feel the same way?

The question I am asking myself is whether or not there is an invisible connection between people despite of distances, and also time for that matter? This leads to many interesting questions. Can our emotions be guided by outside forces, not only in our direct environment as many alternative theories argue, but also in our expanded social relations- not only through people that we know but also those who know of us? If this were true, then our entire basis of function would be altered, because it would imply that our individuality would no longer exist- drawing on ideas from e.g. Spinoza (the idea of the universe as one functioning entity) and Eckhart Tolle (leaving the idea of the self behind and embracing a common identity). We say that everything is connected. But to what extent?

We have all experienced moments when we for instance think about someone and they call just seconds after. To what extent then, are we influenced by others people’s thoughts about us? The more I write, the more I realize that these questions have been though upon by philosophers since the dawn of time, that the debates are endless, concerning topics ranging from the existence of time, causality, possible words or whether or not there is a predetermined blueprint to life or just results of pure coincidences. Even in science and metaphysics- the questions are of similar context. Now, they seem to have proven a new theory of the physics of the universe, combining relativism and quantum-physics, to the idea that “the straight lines of time are actually threads of a web extending  to infinity”, also known as string theory, which allows for several parallel universes. It is amazing. And here we are, looking up at the stars- trying to reach out for questions, desperately seeking answers.

Kant was wise when he understood that there is simply a part of life that human beings do not have the capability or capacity to understand. Something that is outside our frames of senses and perceptions that we are bound within. We are constructed by a four-dimensional conception, but I can see us moving beyond that. Again, these ideas are very old, we just provide new words to the vocabulary. Call it enlightenment, oneness, salvation, reconnection. I think it is all about getting to a point outside the four dimensions. Einstein was there. Siddharta Gautama was there. DaVinci could even describe a state of mind where he saw everything from a distance- how everything worked, the true identity and intention o every person around him- at the same time as he was within the frames of his body. Whether it is the soul or the mind that leaves the physical matter is another debate. But if you can control this notion- you can get access to a vast field of information. I think you can even direct it in what sense you like- to find out about past lives, travel in time, etc, the final stage being the “oneness”, where you are in touch with the source that we all belong to- the essence and true life of the universe.

God= Love= Life = Light, the absence of darkness. All religions stem from the same fundamentals. All religions have some kind of actor who has experienced truth and experiences which are for the most times associated with something mystical, of the sole explanations that these connections lie beyond our everyday comprehension. Right now, the only thing I feel I can say for certain is that I exist. I exist through interactions of energy. I exist beyond the four-dimensional concept of length, width, height and time, a framework which human beings have placed upon ourselves in order to make sense of our existence. Time is overrated. “If by eternity is understood not eternal temporal duration, but timelessness, then he lives eternally who lives in the present.” – Heidegger.

He knew, already then, decades ago. We just have to open our minds again and step outside of the structures we have grown too big for. The conclusion is then, that everything is connected beyond the bounds of what we can perceive. Connection is energy. Energy is light. Light is the source of everything good and the concept of unity which we are all drawn towards. The thread of thought that started out as a question of love in it simplest form, ended as love at its most complex. Please- move beyond your senses. This is a request for expansion.

Making Sense of Reality

So here I am. Clean sheets of virtual paper, and infinite things to say.

My way of making sense of reality can easily be expressed
through the following lines…

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour

William Blake was a clever guy..

Question everything you have ever known.
Truth and inspiration comes from within.
